Heya Everyone! Pattern Pyramid time is here! As I’ve mentioned previously, I won a Pattern Pyramid from Joy at acharmofmagpies. If you haven’t been to her blog, go! She makes awesome dresses for dancing that are CRAMAZING.
She sent me a bundle chock-full of amazing awesomeness!
She wrapped it in wrapping paper INSIDE of the brown mailing paper! She included a sweet note- apparently, this flower on the paper is called “pohutukawa,” which I will never be able to pronounce. It blooms bright red at Christmas, and is a native NZ plant. Groovy!
The chocolate is a classic NZ style- The Hubs keeps calling it his “hockey” chocolate, because he is both awesome and hilarious.
This pretty little number is staying with me-
And here are the rest of the “lovelies” from Joy!-
I’ve also added two patterns of my own-
Frankly, I don’t know what I was thinking with these. I did use the pajama one once to make something for my sister, but the one on the right? I guess it’d be good for, like, a Pat Benetar Halloween costume or something…
Anywho, on to Teh Rulez!
1) You must have a blog in order to enter, so that you can host your own Pattern Pyramid if you win. Also, please say something like “Yes, Please!” or “I’m in!” so I know you’re entering and not just commenting. I’m easily confused, so let’s make this as un-difficult as possible.
2) That’s pretty much it. I will ship to anywhere in the world.
3) BUT- tell me what book you are reading/planning on reading in the near future: I need some ideas for while I’m on vacation!
4) This giveaway will run from today, January 6, to next Sunday, January 13. If no one enters, (I know I’ve got a small readership), I’ll just hold on to them for now and try again in a couple of months.
Good luck! And here are some photos of Mr. Bojangles playing with the paper. Please ignore the enormous stain on the carpet- it was a cat-astrophe that absolutely refuses to be removed.
Count me in! I’m currently reading the Twelve by Justin Cronin, which is ok…but the previous book in the series is much better (the passage).
Count me in too – I have been stalking these 😉 I am reading a couple of books at the moment, one is a Jonathan Kellerman crime novel (can’t remember the name), the other is an Alison Weir book about Anne Boleyn.
Is it “The Lady in the Tower?” I haven’t read that one, but I loooooove Alison Weir.
It is the Lady in the Tower – I had to check, I haven’t read it in a while, knitting has taken over my non-sewing time at the moment!
I’m in! And reading freedom by Jonathan Frantzen
Love the cat!
I’m in for the pyramid!
I’m reading The Harbinger by Jonathon Cahn but I can’t say I’d recommend it just yet, kind of hokey so far. I just finished The Other Boleyn Girl and The Fourth Man and I couldn’t put either of those down!
Yay! I’ll give this a plug tomorrow.

I’m in – haven’t given up hope yet 😀
I’m reading a couple of books (as always), the more interesting one being “The Drunkard’s Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives” by L. Mlodinow, which I quite like. As the title suggests, it’s about the science behind randomness, and quite a bit about how statistics work.
My “light” reading currently is “The Pharos Objective” by David Sakmyster, which seems to be a mix of obscure and historic – I’ve just started to read it, but it features archeologists with visions, which has my interest piqued 😀
I am in too! Interestingly, the thread is Anne Boleyn themed…I read The Other Boleyn Girl recently and have now gone back to read the Tudor series in order (I have just finished The Queen’s Fool).
OK count me in. I am still ploughing through the cross stitch series. I love it but it’s taking a while. Dal sews is my blog.
“Yes, please!” as per your instructions 🙂 I love them! So hard to choose!
Hi there.
Count me in for the pattern pyramid. I keeping trying and hope my name comes up, but even if not, I get to discover great blogs (like yours)!
I have just finished reading The Redbreast by Jo Nesbo and about to start on Nemisis by the same author, part of a trilogy. I enjoyed the first one.
I’m in too! I am reading ‘When I Left Home’ by Buddy Guy – he is a fantastic Blues singer and this is his autobiography. I also have a ‘talking book’ in the car and I am listening to ‘Roots’ by Alex Haley. I read the hard copy about 20 years ago. Both great books!
Count me in! I just reread Fahrenheit 451 for the first time since high school. I don’t recommend it for vacation reading! I forgot how melancholy it is.
Count me out – I certainly don’t want them back 😉 But I’m so pleased that you like your parcel, and highly entertained that your husband – and cat – got so much fun out of it as well. I love that last photo!
Lol, your post was very cute! I’m involved in another pattern pyramid that I just won (yay!!) from Symondezyn and that was started by the lovely Anne from Pretty Grievances, so will bow out of this one. I should be receiving my items shortly and will post on my blog. Have fun with your new patterns!! They look lovely. (Your kitty is adorable. My Kitty says hi to him).
